Flooring

Flooring is where the company started, and it is still the trade we self-perform most often for other builders. Large-format porcelain and natural stone are unforgiving: substrate flatness has to be corrected before setting, not compensated for during it.

We handle removal and disposal of existing flooring, substrate preparation and levelling, and installation. Because demolition and flooring sit under the same contract, there is no gap between one crew leaving and the next arriving.

Materials we install regularly include imported porcelain and natural stone, engineered and solid hardwood, luxury vinyl plank, and polished or dyed concrete for garages and modern interiors.

Substrate flatness is the whole job on large-format tile. A slab that is out by a quarter inch over ten feet will telegraph through a sixty-inch plank no matter how good the setter is, so we grind and self-level before setting rather than trying to compensate with mortar.

Movement joints matter more in Arizona than most places, because slabs here see real thermal cycling. We place them per industry standard rather than omitting them for appearance, which is the usual cause of a tile floor tenting in its second summer.
